A submission to Indonesian Exhibition “Seeing Words – Visual Kata” in Frankfurt Book Fair 2016. We were asked to interprate The Rainbow Troops (Laskar Pelangi), a semi-autobiographical novel written by Andrea Hirata as Raka. We try to capture it as a compilation of Ikal’s childhood scribbles and sketches as the book is written within the writer’s perspective to his childhood memories.
