Welcome to Thinking*Room Fashion Week, a week in fashion where our studio members dressed up in response to a daily given theme. Taking place none other in our little office, this first-ever event of its kind includes a 'Designer' Catwalk, Indoor & Outdoor Photoshoot Sessions, and Citywalk's Open-for-Public Show. Despite a fashion show with no blinding lights or nonstop camera clicks, somewhat we managed to have visitors of Citywalk turning their heads ever so curiously, probably thinking what we were actually up to with these weird uniformity. From Corporate Cool to street-style sweatpants, let's take a look at our designers' Spring collection. Do the stereotypical designers' outfit of black basics apply, after all?
1. Stripy Monday
Let's start with something elemental, a stripe. Nothing much to comment, though. We didn't go that far on this, just a variety of either horizontal or vertical and a spectrum of wide to narrow stripes. But just when you think it couldn't go any more 'basic', Pierre came up with a slightly unnoticeable pair of striped socks. Good thing we considered socks a valuable fashion item.
2. Chill Tuesday
It's sunny every day in Jakarta, but the hustle-bustle nature of the capital city doesn't seem to allow us to enjoy a laid-back summer. Maybe these tropical shirts can do the little trick. Just look at Septi drinking coconut water straight from the coconut, doesn't it make you want to drink some now?
3. Sporty Wednesday
Okay, this one is more than a mere fashion, as we have our regular sports day every Wednesday. We either go for a run at Gelora Bung Karno or play badminton at the nearest court around Sudirman. Anyway, don't these green sporty outfits remind you of a particular institution? Well, if you know, you know.
4. Corporate Thursday
When was the last time you saw a graphic studio looking this properly rigid? We can admit that we have never suited up this much even for a client meeting. At the end of that day, we didn't think this much formality fit us right. But we finally had an experience of 'walking like CEOs', as if we ran some very serious business, to say the least.
5. Flannel Friday
Feeling casual? Here comes our last collection of this season. And speaking of flannel, who else has that nostalgic back-to-campus feeling as much as we do? The typical unbuttoned-outer style is surely something we can always wear all-year-round without going out of trend.
Who do you think wore it best? Be sure to come back for our next Fashion Week update, see you on our Summer Collection!
